Vintage Italian Fashion Croquis

Vintage Italian Fashion Croquis Illustrations, 1950-1960

Croquis drawings – from the French “to sketch” - are quick sketches of live models, usually made in a few minutes, with a loose drawing of the clothes that are being designed.

In this series of croquis, the clothing, rather than being drawn over the figure, was instead created separately to simulate fabric, cut to the shape of the garment’s design, and applied over the airbrushed drawing.
